Job Description:
As a Course Developer, you will play a key role in reviewing existing courses and creating new courses to meet the evolving needs of our industry partners and learners. Your responsibilities will include analyzing training needs, designing course content and materials, and ensuring that courses are engaging, effective, and aligned with industry standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review existing courses to identify areas for improvement and updates.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and insights for course development.
• Design course outlines, objectives, and learning outcomes based on training needs analysis.
• Develop engaging and interactive course content, including presentations, videos, quizzes, and assignments.
• Ensure that course materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards and WSQ regulations.
• Incorporate instructional design principles and adult learning theories to enhance learning effectiveness.
• Conduct pilot tests and gather feedback to evaluate course effectiveness and make improvements.
• Maintain documentation and records of course development processes and materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations relevant to course content.
Requirements:
• Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• SSG DDDLP or DACE certified
• Familiar with WSQ standard for course designing
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and curriculum development processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Experience in developing courses for adult learners and industry professionals is preferred.
• Proficiency in using course authoring tools and multimedia software is a plus (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
• Working knowledge of any industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus.
Working Hours:
3 – 6 Hours per week.
Weekday evenings or weekends.
