Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate individual to join our team as an Industrial Control System (PLC) Instructor (part-time) This role will involve teaching and training individuals in the fields of electrical controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and industrial electricity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, along with practical experience in industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and training materials covering topics such as electrical controls, PLC programming, motor controls, and industrial electricity.
- Provide guidance and support to students as they work through practical exercises and projects to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes and mock tests, providing feedback to aid in their development.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations related to electrical controls and industrial electricity.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to students interested in pursuing careers in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of relevant subject matter.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree for Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computing, or Mechatronic).
- Undergraduates / Fresh graduates in local Universities of Singapore are welcome to apply.
- Experience with working with electrical controls, PLCs, and industrial electricity in a professional setting is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of equipment and tools commonly found in industrial settings.
- Familiar with PLC programming and experience with PLC hardware and software
- Knowledge of developing instructional materials and delivering training sessions to diverse audiences is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations governing electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching and helping others succeed in their educational and career goals.
- Training will be provided.
Working Hours:
- 3 – 6 Hours per week.
- Lessons will be conducted on weekday evenings or weekends.
